Pure Solar systems is working along side MERCY OUTREACH MINISTRY INTERNATIONAL (MOM) an international mission outreach of the Full Gospel Church Of the Lord’s Missions International. The impoverished country of Haiti has been our primary focus since 1990 and is dedicated to improving the spiritual and natural lives of Haitians in rural areas through self-empowerment via education, sustainable technologies, and hands-on support.
Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and is listed among the poorest of all countries in the developing world. MOM is targeting the rural communities that are isolated and without modern sanitation, food, water, educational and medical facilities. The most effective method of reaching these communities is through the local pastors who are struggling to provide basic human services to the people. MOM is actively involved in helping people to help themselves. The pastors take the lead in implementing and overseeing small micro-enterprise projects as part of their ministerial duties by encouraging the community to accept the projects and to work diligently to make them successful. Many of them are being trained and certified as trainers to form a solid infrastructure for sustainability.
You can view some of the remote villages where MOM has worked hard to make changes in the lives of Haitians who were struggling to survive. We have worked in areas such as Anse-au-veau, Petite Riviere De Nippes, Fond Verrette, Robio, Fontamara, Jeremie, etc. Sometimes MOM has simply provided a much-needed generator for a church school. We provided a very large generator that provided streetlights in Anse-a-veau years ago. Thirteen Haitians (males and females) were taught how to build bio-sand water filters by CAWST and received certificates of completion in 2006. We initiated massive garden projects, and livestock projects and were successful in developing the first commercial solar bakery in Petite Riviere De Nippes in 2010.
These are just a few of the simple but important projects that MOM has provided for rural areas. Our major thrust now is to build a much-needed church and educational complex in the remote village of Anou. This little community has been waiting for decades to have a church and school for their church community especially. They have been patiently waiting for the church to fulfill its promise of many decades ago. Now, we, the Full Gospel Church of the Lord’s Mission have begun the process and we need your help. The land for this project was purchased 22 years ago and is now waiting for construction to begin with your help!
MOM has experienced disruption of projects from natural events hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, and civil unrest. Nevertheless, we continue to battle against all odds to bring development and self-sufficiency to the residents of communities in rural areas.
